At the top of the range sits the redesigned Raider 16 Max HX, paired with Intel's flagship Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and GPU options scaling up to the RTX 5090. MSI claims the system can deliver up to 300W of combined CPU and GPU power, an unusually high figure for a laptop that still fits into a standard backpack. To manage the heat generated by that kind of power, the laptop relies on a triple-fan cooling setup built around multiple heat pipes.
AMD Options Join the Lineup
The high-end treatment isn't limited to Intel machines. MSI has already shown off the Raider Max 16 HX at CES 2026, and has also teased two more affordable 16-inch models, including an AMD-based variant offering an optional RTX 5090 laptop GPU.

Several models in the new lineup, including the Raider 16 Max HX, Raider 18 Max HX, Stealth 18 HX, and Titan 18 HX, run on the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus chipset, with GPU options spanning from the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 up to the RTX 5090. Display technology is also getting an upgrade, with 2.5K OLED panels running at up to 240Hz on 16-inch models, and 4K Mini LED screens on 18-inch flagships like the Titan 18 HX.
